Robson Street: New Bubble Tea Hub?

Ok real talk — I like to think that I have a decent palette for food and drinks but bubble tea is one of those things that I don’t explore enough of and hence, I get shy about giving an opinion on. I am by no means a bubble tea connoisseur but the health conscious Steph does enjoy her occasional fix of milk tea + pearls and will regularly drink a tea variety (no sugar if possible) + grass jelly or aiyu jelly (sometimes both). I definitely prefer tea-focused joints where I have the flexibility to control my my ice and sugar levels.

Like many, I’ve been a regular patron of Robson Street ever since my parents let me go out solo and since I’ve been living in Downtown Vancouver for almost a year now, I can’t help but notice how much out shopping district has evolved. Even our beloved American Outfitters from my teenage years is now being replaced by a bubble tea store, and the chains just keep coming. So, I decided to make a full list of all the existing, newly opened joints for your boba fix in no particular order, as well as a the upcoming ones that we are anticipating for.

Izuni Matcha Fresh Milk from Milksha — I don’t recommend 0% sugar, learned it the hard way. Unfortunately, the milk overpowered the matcha.

TLDR & for my fellow bubble tea fanatics; there’s 12 different spots on Robson Street who specializes in bubble tea in the span of 8 blocks, which means you can do 12 bubble tea joints of Christmas if pubs aren’t you’re thing ;)
